Chemen Tate MD, FACOG

chemen-pic-CVChemen Tate, MD, FACOG, is an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn), and director of wellness, at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in Indianapolis. She currently serves on the American Medical Women’s Association board of directors, co-chairs the mentorship task force, and is helping to develop the AMWA Check In on Menopause Campaign.

Dr. Tate serves on the IUSM admissions committee and serves as a mentor in the institution’s residency mentoring program aimed at supporting underrepresented minority residents. She also serves as a faculty advisor for students in the medical school advising program and for 4th-year students applying to Ob/Gyn residency programs. She has a special interest in increasing the numbers of women and underrepresented minorities in leadership within academic medicine and helping these physicians find success, fulfillment, and balance between work and life.  Dr. Tate received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
