Dr. Mary Rorro, a physician from the Department of Veterans Affairs a violist and singer-songwriter volunteered at the solemn ceremony, where many paid tribute to all who perished on 9/11 and since that tragic day, including firefighters, police and first responders.
Dr. Rorro is Chair of the American Medical Women’s Association Music and Medicine and Co-Chair of the Humanities Committee.
She is pictured with her mother, Dr. Gilda Rorro, 9/11 Cereomony organizer William D. Shields, former Fire Chief of Princeton Fire Company, Princeton Mayor Mark Freda who made remarks during the program, and bagpiper Doug Conners.
Dr. Rorro played the National Anthem on viola and sang her original song “Remember Me, Remember Us” to honor the memory and legacy of those lost from 9/11. We will never forget.
