AMWA Internship Program

Are you a student who is driven and dedicated to AMWA’s work and initiatives? Apply to the AMWA Internship program to dive deeper into our many initiatives and advocacy efforts through our involved 4-6 week internship.


The AMWA Internship Program is open to premedical and medical student members of the American Medical Women’s Association. The internship involves playing an integral role in the organization, development, and implementation of a variety of AMWA’s projects and advocacy initiatives. Please view the projects tab for more information about the types of projects interns will undertake. Applications are reviewed and accepted on a rolling basis.

This internship is entirely virtual.


To apply for this internship, you must:

  • Be a premedical or medical student
  • Be a registered National AMWA Member
  • Be available to commit to approximately 60 hours with flexibility on timing
  • Be driven, dedicated, and ready to take initiative

Depending on availability and commitment, interns may be involved in one or several projects. These projects range in scope and we intend to assign interns to projects that align most closely with their interests. This is not a list of ALL projects, as projects are continually added to our program. However, this is a general idea of what interns may expect to be involved in.
