AMWA Professional Physician Coaching

Professional Coaching provides women physicians with targeted guidance in the leadership development process. If you are reading this, you are ready to commit to bringing out the best qualities of yourself as a leader.  No matter how many courses you take or programs you attend, having the opportunity to explore what the competencies mean to you, personally, is the only way to integrate concepts so you will evolve fully.

The American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) recognizes the invaluable benefits that come with coaching. As such, professional coaching both in peer groups and/or one-on-one is considered integral to the AMWA Leadership Process.

Working with a certified professional coach introduces the opportunity for tailored guidance. In this process, you will focus on your strengths and explore opportunities to grow in ways that will amplify and accelerate your comfort as a leader, enhance your capabilities and core competencies, and grow more self-assured both in your current position and as opportunities present themselves in the future. Individualized coaching allows you to gain actionable insights that will set you apart as an effective, preferred leader.

Attaining, refining, and improving your leadership skills are essential whether just launching your career or angling for a senior position. Leadership assessments and professional coaching are integral tools in creating effective leaders, satisfied program teams, and success within organizations.

AMWA encourages you to embrace one-to-one coaching to assure that you are playing to your strengths and gaining comfort in your professional journey.

Make a commitment to your future; coaching is a smart investment in yourself.
