The need for women to advance into health care leadership positions is urgent and clear. AMWA and Carnegie Mellon University’s Master of Medical Management program has teamed up to help you prepare yourself for leadership at the highest level, whether it’s in hospitals, health systems, universities, insurers, or medical companies. Within five years of graduating from CMU’s MMM program, a majority of our graduates attain the role of CMO, CEO, or another C-level or VP position. We need to close the role model, mentor, and pay gaps facing women physicians. And that starts at the top.
Is MMM right for me?
The Master of Medical Management program is offered by CMU’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy. At CMU’s Heinz College, you will receive an unparalleled blend of quantitative management and data analytics that cannot be matched by other institutions. These are the skills you need to be an effective and adaptable executive, ready for the future of health care. All MMM students are physicians (MD or DO) with at least five years of post-residency experience, creating a unique learning environment and opportunities to network with an accomplished cohort.
Current AMWA members are eligible for partial tuition scholarships and select participation in the Carnegie Mellon Medical Management Mentor Program. Learn More.
