Dr. Chin has been leading AMWA as Executive Director since 2011, following one year as AMWA President. Jodi Godfrey, MS, RDN — Deputy Director

Jodi Godfrey, MS, RDN — Deputy Director

Jodi brings decades of medical and health strategy and communications experience as a journalist and program director. Prior to joining AMWA, she was executive editor/director of digital content for EndocrineWeb and medical editor for Practical Pain Management. She was the inaugural program and website director for the Sex & Gender Health Collaborative, after a 14-year stint as contributing editor at the Journal of Women’s Health and associate director of the Congress on Women’s Health. She began her career at the top NYC public relations agencies where she coordinated food and pharma product launches and educational campaigns. She holds a master’s degree in health communications from Boston University and completed her dietetic internship at the Lahey Clinical Medical Center in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Dayna Jackson — Membership Director

Dayna Jackson — Membership Director

Dayna has 15+ years of experience as a membership development specialist and event planner. She believes in the power of building relationships, growing member organizations, and expanding connections through memorable events. She began her journey as a paralegal working for the federal government but quickly found her niche as a membership professional. She has worked at the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape, the National Frozen and Refrigerated Foods Association, and the Medical Association of Georgia. Dayna’s biggest accomplishment to date has been surpassing membership goals for five consecutive years, ultimately increasing members and revenue by increasing engagement and encouraging members in leadership roles.

Dayna lives in Atlanta GA. She loves to travel, crochet, volunteer, and spend time with family in Pennsylvania. Dayna is dedicated to member satisfaction.

Linda Calandra, MBA — Director, Strategic Alliances and Corporate Engagement

Linda Calandra, MBA — Director, Strategic Alliances and Engagement

Linda has a very diverse background in healthcare, specifically the global pharmaceutical industry, including Pfizer, Takeda/Shire, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Wyeth. Her roles have included marketing, relationship management, patient advocacy, public affairs, and communications, both in established and emerging markets. Her therapeutic experience ranging from rare diseases and cardiovascular/metabolic conditions to neuroscience and urology/sexual health. Linda has led successful partnerships with a variety of organizations, while navigating competing priorities, complex ways of working, and many more challenges to help better serve patients with unmet needs and other stakeholders. She has led cross-functional and multi-company collaboration by identifying common goals to support innovation, strategic business objectives, and optimize opportunities for success. Originally from Chicago, she now resides in New York City. Linda’s focus is corporate development.

Kelly Lonergan - Program Coordinator

Kelly Lonergan — Program Coordinator

Kelly graduated from University of Illinois and completed a dietetic internship, then moved to Darwin, Australia where she worked in management in the allied health/disability sector. Her focus has been on supporting individuals with FASD/Autism/ADHD in the remote communities of Australia. After a farewell tour traveling around Australia in a camper van, she returned in late 2022 to settle in Atlanta, Georgia. She enjoys traveling, attending concerts and festivals, trying new restaurants, and visiting with my big families both here and overseas.

Katie Tihansky – Executive Assistant

Katie Tihansky — Executive Assistant

Katie join AMWA with more than 20 years of professional administrative experience including a strong focus on problem-solving and nourishing relationships! She has worked for large corporations, small businesses, and most recently for the principal/vice principal of a local middle school. Katie has been married for 23 years and has three children! From what she’s learned thus far, AMWA is a wonderful organization full of camaraderie and she looks forward to learning and growing as a part of the AMWA team!
