
Rebecca Barron, MD, is currently an assistant professor of emergency medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School at Baystate as well as an attending emergency physician at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, and Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, both in Massachusetts. She received a medical degree and a master’s in public health from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, and completed a residency in emergency medicine as well as a fellowship in Sex and Gender in Emergency Medicine at Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Her academic interests include women’s health, public health, and medical education. Outside of work (and under non-pandemic circumstances), she enjoys traveling, hiking, and vegetarian food as well as spending time with her spouse and children.
