Savitha Bonthala
Global Health Chair
Savitha Bonthala is a DO/MPH Class of 2013 candidate at Touro University California. She is excited about expanding her role in international healthcare through her involvement as Global Health Chair and an Anne C. Carter Global Health Fellow. She has traveled abroad to Engeye Clinic in Uganda to provide malarial education for children in Ddegeya Village -- an opportunity provided to her only through her association with AMWA. She is grateful for all of the wonderful experiences she has had abroad because of AMWA and feels empowered to be part of such a strong network of women in medicine.
Her interests in medicine include osteopathy and international healthcare. In her spare time she enjoys dancing (classical Indian dance and hip hop) and loves to spend time with her friends, family and adorable dog!
