Jessica Sheth
Region 7 Director
AR, IA, KS, MN, MO, NE, ND, OK, SD, WI
Jessica attends the University of Kansas School of Medicine as a member of the Class of 2015. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a B. S. in Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Health as part of the Individual Concentration Program. As a medical student, she has continued to pursue her passion for interdisciplinary education by serving as co-president for the Student Diversity Council. Through this position, she has worked closely with the inter-professional education center to develop programs engaging students from various healthcare fields and is working to integrate inter-professional education into the medical curriculum. She has also served as co-president of her local AMWA branch, rekindling student enthusiasm for AMWA. By putting together events designed to encourage both women and men to talk about serious issues such as domestic violence and advocating for oneself in the workplace, she has worked to engage students and inspire enthusiasm about professional and social issues. As the Region 7 Director, Jessica hopes to bring students together from the region to explore the issues that are most important to them. She also hopes to encourage stronger mentorship connections between students and help students find a welcoming community of professionals to provide guidance.
