Elizabeth Brigham
Region 3 Director
DC, DE, MD, PA, VA, WV
Elizabeth Brigham is currently a member of the Class of 2015 at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She graduated from The College of William & Mary in 2010 with a double major in Kinesiology & Health Sciences and Biology. She hopes to pursue a career in pediatric orthopedics, with a special interest in working with children with physical disabilities and special needs. Outside of school, Elizabeth has competed nationally and internationally in a sport called equestrian vaulting, which is the sport of gymnastics and dance in harmony with a moving horse. She now serves on the National Board of Directors of the American Vaulting Association as a regional supervisor, and coaches and gives clinics for younger vaulters when she has time. As the Penn State AMWA chapter president, Elizabeth has been inspired by the confidence and opportunities that AMWA mentoring and networking events continually offer to her fellow students (and herself!), and hopes to bring that same enthusiasm to her leadership on the regional and national level, helping to expand mentoring opportunities for students, growing the student membership, and broadening AMWA’s reputation for empowering women in medicine at every level.
