Amanda Fletcher
Region 5 Director
AL, LA, MS, TN,
The Caribbean
Amanda Fletcher is a member of the Class of 2015 at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. She is originally from Toledo, OH and graduated in 2010 from Jackson State University where she majored in Chemistry.
As a first year, she joined AMWA because she strongly believed in AMWA’s dedication to advancing women in medicine and improving women’s health. Serving as the secretary for the educational year 2012-2013, she was an integral part of the local AMWA chapter, where she participated in numerous community service projects and assisted in a Mentor/Mentee Program with the local University. This Mentor/Mentee Program allowed for interested pre-med students at the university to be paired with medical, dental, or graduate students and the pre-med students received advice and an inside look into professional school.
Amanda is very excited to serve as the Region 5 director, and is ready to work with all of the Region 5 AMWA chapters! As the region 5 director, this year she is looking forward to a successful year of collaboration and participation from old and new Region 5 chapters. All ideas and suggestions are more than welcome!
