JAMWA Archives

For nearly 60 years, the Journal of the American Medical Women's Association fulfilled its mission of serving the shared interests of women physicians and patients by publishing the highest caliber medical research and review articles on a diverse range of topics related to women's health care and the professional development of women physicians.

Articles and theme issues focused on a number of critical issues affecting the health of women, including Depression in Women, Cardiovascular Health in Women, Genetics and Women's Health, Managed Care and Women's Health, the Health of Older Women, Domestic Violence, and many more.

The final issue of JAMWA revisited the subject of violence against women, including the impact of partner abuse on women's reproductive rights, gang rape in the military, and factors contributing to maternal mortality. Although there will be no more articles published through the Journal, AMWA invites submissions of reviews and articles for our bi-monthly newsletter Connections.
