Supported Clinics - Mission Hospital

Calcutta 2

The Association of Medical Women in India (AMWI) Mission Hospital for Women and Children in Calcutta is a 50-bed facility run by women for women, providing free hospital beds for patients and charging only a nominal fee for all other services.

The hospital also runs a cancer detection clinic, specializing in uterine, cervical and other gynecological cancers, cancers which are especially common among women in India. A fully equipped operating theater allows surgeons to perform all major operations including surgical treatment for cancer. AWHS was proud to assist the Mission Hospital with the purchase of new resuscitation equipment.
