AMWA is seeking a representative to the Medical Women’s International Association. The Medical Women’s International Association (MWIA) is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) representing women doctors from all five continents. The association was founded in 1919 and is one of the oldest professional bodies at the international level. It is non-political, non-sectarian and non-profit making.

As an AMWA physician member, you are automatically a member in MWIA, but we need a formal liasion to replace our outgoing representative. As the AMWA Liasion you will respond to requests from the MWIA VP North America for information on activities on a quarterly and yearly basis, inform the VPNA of any activities AMWA is undertaking that deal with global health and flag global issues that the MWIA network may want to respond to such as press release, new initiatives, etc. Interested members should send their CV to associatedirector@amwa-doc.org.
