“Muffins with Mentors”
For nearly a century the American Medical Women’s Association has been working to advance women in medicine and improve the health of all individuals. AMWA believes networking and mentoring amongst women physicians, residents and medical students are key elements for advancing women in medicine. The AMWA Vanderbilt Chapter has an active networking and mentoring program. Last December they held a Wine and Cheese Event during which medical students could mingle with faculty. This month they held a “Muffins with Mentors” event in which they encouraged discussion about exam preparation and study skills. We love to see our chapters in action!
