Call to Action: Equal Pay Day
Dear AMWA Colleagues,
We received an update from the Vision 20/20 national office. Today, April 17th, marks Equal Pay Day, a public awareness event created by the National Committee on Pay Equity (NCPE) to illustrate the gap between men and women wages. The date was chosen on April 17th represents how far into 2012 women must work to earn what their male colleagues earned in 2011. The wage gap is even greater fro most women of color.
