President - Adrienne Clark

Adrienne Clark  Email

Adrienne Clark is a fourth year student at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She served as AMWA Student President Elect last year, and was previously Student Program Chair and UCLA Branch President.  Adrienne was instrumental in re-launching the AMWA Bed & Breakfast Program and wrote the first-ever Branch Programming Handbook.

Adrienne is inspired by the vision and energy of her AMWA peers and mentors, and is excited about serving as AMWA Student President this year. Her personal goal remains to grow AMWA’s student membership by developing support for local branches. She also wants to publicize the amazing work done by AMWA members to increase recognition of AMWA's role as the vision and voice of women in medicine!

Outside of AMWA, Adrienne conducts research in heart failure supported by an American Heart Association grant and a UCLA Department of Medicine fellowship, and published her first scholarly paper in the Journal of Cardiac Failure in 2011. Adrienne also speaks fluent Spanish and has worked in Central America with several non-profit and government public health organizations.
