President-Elect - Linda Wang

Linda Jade Wang is a third year student at Harvard Medical School and is enrolled in the joint MD/MBA program with Harvard Business School.   She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College in June 2009, with an honors degree in Chemistry, a secondary in Health Policy, and a language citation in Spanish. 

Linda became involved with AMWA during her first year of medical school and was one of the directors of the Harvard branch.  Last year she held the position of Region 1 Student Coordinator and served as the student liaison on the National AMWA Physician Membership Committee.

When AMWA was founded in 1915, women represented 5-6% of all physicians in the U.S. The organization's statement of purpose was, "to bring Medical Women into communication with each other for their mutual advantage, and to encourage social and harmonious relations within and without the profession."
