Dr. Kimberly Templeton is associate professor in the Departments of Orthopaedic Surgery and Health Policy and Management at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas and chief of orthopaedic surgery at the Kansas City VA Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the first recipient of the Joy McCann Professorship for Women in Medicine and Science. She was president of the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society from 2005 to 2006. Widely published and the recipient of numerous honors, she is also the national chair of the public education committee for the U.S. Bone and Joint Decade, a multidisciplinary initiative targeting the care of people with bone and joint disorders.
